Handling of Personal Information in Training Programs for Hot Spring Utilization Instructors and Bathing Instructors

The Foundation has established and complies with its Privacy Policy.
Personal information provided by individuals is properly managed in accordance with the Foundation’s personal information protection regulations, and we strive to prevent leakage and other related incidents.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

Personal information will be used for the following purposes:

  • (1) To conduct training programs for Hot Spring Utilization Instructors and Hot Spring Bathing Instructors
  • (2) To issue certificates of completion to participants of the training programs
  • (3) To provide information to program graduates and to enable reissuance of certificates
  • (4) To respond to inquiries
  • (5) To register for email newsletters

If personal information is to be used for purposes other than those listed above, the Foundation will explain the reason to the individual and obtain prior consent.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Foundation will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent from the individual, except in the following cases:

  • (1) When required by laws and regulations
  • (2) When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
  • (3) When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
  • (4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a party entrusted by such agency, in executing duties prescribed by law, and obtaining consent may impede the execution of such duties

Outsourcing of Operations

The Foundation outsources part of its operations to external contractors in order to carry out its services.

Such contractors are supervised through contracts and other measures to ensure appropriate protection of personal information.

The main outsourced operations include:

  • • Issuance and mailing of certificates for training program completion
  • • Information system management
  • • Cleaning services
  • • Office security services

Rights of the Individual

Individuals have the right to request disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information held by the Foundation.

Voluntary Provision of Personal Information

Providing personal information to the Foundation is voluntary. However, if the required information is not provided, participation in the training programs may not be permitted.

Accredited Personal Information Protection Organization

An Accredited Personal Information Protection Organization is an entity authorized by the competent minister under Article 37 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. It ensures the proper handling of personal information by processing complaints and providing information to member organizations.
